Voyages Beyond The Edge

  Starship 191 was returning from a successful voyage to the Kep-12 planetary system. As they were nearing the Home Solar System, the Earth Command reassigned them to help test “Oasis” – a new space station outpost being established. While they were moving towards Oasis, a mysterious ancient pictograph appeared on their main screen – out of the blue. What was the message? What did it convey? Who sent it and Why? Embark on this new mysterious journey with Captain Viz aboard the Starship 191 to find out. Chapter 1 Published

  Savior << Chapter 3   “Well, that was quite an introduction to this planetary system. Although we couldn’t establish any meaningful relationships with any of the planets, we did help to save a life and perhaps a generation” Captain Viz said thinking aloud. “Yes, Captain. We could not have done anything else in the situation.” Adam added. “Homebound then. Set course for Earth. Engines at Full thrust.” Starship 191 was on its way home. The mission was over. Maybe another starship would come exploring this part of the galaxy in times to come and may find what the future holds for Arnon and Arthe – the two planets at loggerheads. 191 was homebound on auto mode. The crew was relaxing. This had been a fast-paced adventure. They were all looking forward to a peaceful journey back home. Escape << Chapter  2   “We would need to keep your ship within the magnetic shield. As per protocols we cannot allow you onboard.” Informed Adam matter-of-factly. “Ari, hope you have enough supplies onboard to last the journey” enquired Captain Viz empathetically. He was concerned for the infant. “Yes, the ship has emergency supplies, which should be good for the journey”. Adam set the course of the silvery blue 191 to the coordinates provided by Ari. They were on their way to Xeno – the space station outpost setup by Arnon as a launchpad for their explorations in the galaxy. That would to be a safe place for Ari. “I don’t know what to expect.” exclaimed Captain Viz as soon as Adam muted the communication with the ship. “We have taken Ari on face value. Escape << Chapter 1   At Planet Arnon - A few minutes before Ari’s rendezvous with Starship 191. “Destruction imminent…Evacuate. Destruction imminent…Evacuate.” Ari woke up startled by these loud instructions from the Central Computer.  The siren was blaring, and the emergency lights were flashing.  Smoke had started to rise from three-four places of the residential complex, as she could see from the windows of her living quarters. Her quarters, which she shared with her friend, was on the twelfth floor of a massive housing structure. She could see a large part of the complex from there. Smoke was rising from the circular dome which housed the Main Command. A few more places were on fire. Arthe’s spaceships were suspended in the air and were striking these places with their destructive beams. A few retaliatory beams were being fired from the ground.   Rendezvous << Prologue "Magnetic Shields up !!" Captain Viz commanded sharply. Starship 191 had come under fire in the planetary system of star AM-241 near its habitable zone. Inbound radiation was detected by its super detector and identified dangerous by the Security Intelligence System. Adam, his deputy, had informed him of the looming danger. "Captain, the incoming radiation is a high-density particle spray. It’s coming from a spaceship, about eleven thousand miles away." continued Adam with his analysis. “Take Positions. Security procedures underway!!” boomed Captain viz on the ship’s Public Address system as per the Standard Operating Procedures undertaken for any threats to the spaceship. Red lights started flashing on the deck. The crew across the spaceship took their designated positions. Security procedures started.
